
No. 11 Washington Hosts CSUN Wednesday

SEATTLE -- The No. 11 University of Washington women's basketball team (8-1) continues its four-game homestand on Wednesday (Dec. 7), hosting CSUN (4-4) at 7 p.m. PT inside Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be streamed on pac-12.com/live with radio coverage on gohuskies.leanplayer.com.
Washington moved up two more spots to No. 11 in the latest AP Top 25 poll, it's highest regular season ranking since 1998. The Huskies started the season ranked No. 17 and has jumped two spots each week its played. Four other Pac-12 teams are also ranked: UCLA at No. 9, Stanford at No. 10, Colorado at No. 18 and Oregon State at No. 24. In the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Huskies are also ranked No. 13.
Washington is leading the nation in several categories this season including 102 made three-pointers. The Huskies are 102-of-245 from three-point range, hitting at a .416 clip and all 12 players who have played this season have hit at least one. Washington's 11.3 three-pointers per game ranks third while the team's 89.8 points per game is fifth-most in the NCAA.
Seniors Kelsey Plum and Chantel Osahor are leading the nation in scoring and rebounding, respectively. Plum is averaging 29.7 points per game while Osahor is averaging 14.9 rebounds per game. Osahor's eight double-doubles this season also tops the NCAA. Last week, the pair were both named to the 2017 Naismith Watchlist while Plum was also named to the watch list for the Wade Trophy.
The Huskies, who have beaten its last five opponents by at least a 30-point margin, have hit or gone over the century mark four times this season. The only other season Washington reached 100 or more was in 1981-82 when that Husky team did it five times.
Washington is coming off a 31-point win against Fresno State (85-54) on Sunday (Dec. 4). Osahor recorded her eighth consecutive double-double in the win, which included a career-high 22 rebounds to go along with 13 points, including 7-of-7 from the foul line. Plum scored 30 points to lead four Huskies in double figures while also adding a team-high four assists.
Joining Plum and Osahor in double figures this season is junior Natalie Romeo, the team's third-leading scorer (12.1 ppg). The guard leads the team with 31 made three-pointers.

Washington and Cal State Northridge have met on one other occasion, Dec. 8, 2010. The Huskies beat CSUN, 73-55, in Northridge.

The Matadors' losses were to San Diego (76-67), Stanford (88-54), Michigan State (63-59) and Eastern Washington (71-57). CSUN has two players averaging double figures: Channon Fluker (14.6) and Serafina Maulupe (12.3). Fluker also leads the team with 10.0 boards per game while Maulupe is their biggest threat from the outside, knocking down 19 three-pointers this season.
