Returning three starters from a squad that reached the 2016 NCAA Final Four, head coach Mike Neighbors begins his fourth season at the helm with an overall record of 70-35. He has built the program into a national contender, leading Washington to its first NCAA Final Four appearance last season and second-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament after an eight-year hiatus.

The Rams are led by senior guard Ellen Nystrom, who was selected the Mountain West Player of the Year last season. Last year, CSU ranked fifth in the nation in field goal percentage defense, sixth in scoring defense and eighth in three-point field goal defense. In their season opener on Friday (Nov. 11), Colorado State beat Omaha, 69-42, led by Nystrom who scored a career-high 22 points while the Rams' defense forced 16 turnovers.
UP NEXT
