With Tuesday's loss to Kansas State, Washington falls to 0-2 against ranked teams this season. The Huskies are 45-110 against ranked opponents all-time, including a 34-38 record when playing at home.
The Huskies and Wildcats have squared off against each other on just two occasions with K-State emerging victorious on both occasions. The two teams previously met last year in Kansas, with the Wildcats coming away with the 88-61 victory.
Kansas State senior guard Shalee Lehning fell recorded her fourth career triple-double -a category in which she holds both the K-State and Big 12 record - finishing with 19 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds. Lehning's 10 assists were the most by any Husky opponent this season.
With its victory over the Huskies, Kansas State remains one of just 8 undefeated teams in the nation, and its 12-0 record marks the best start in school history for the Wildcats.
Freshman forward Liz Lay played for her first time this season after sitting out the first nine games recovering from knee surgery performed in February of her senior year in high school. Lay contributed 5 points and 2 rebounds in just 8 minutes of action.
