Tonight's 85-46 win over Cal marks the biggest margin of victory in the series by either team. It is the largest margin of victory in Pac-10 play for Washington this season.
The Huskies improved to 12-1 all-time in Pac-10 play at Bank of America Arena, including 10 consecutive wins, dating back to a 67-53 loss to Oregon on Jan. 18, 2001.
Washington held a 40-4 margin in points in the paint.
Gioconda Mendiola returned from her stress fracture, playing in her first game since Dec. 7. Kirsten Brockman also earned playing time, her first since Nov. 30.
Tonight's attendance of 4,007 was a Husky season high.
Washington tallied its second highest first half total of 54, despite being held without a basket for the first 4:42 of the game. After Loree Payne broke that drought with a 15 ft. jumper, the Huskies went on a 23-7 run over the next seven minutes to take a 31-7 advantage with 8:20 remaining in the half. The Huskies 31-7 run to open the game was its best of the year.
Washington had separate runs of 29-5 and 23-11 in the first half, and 21-6 to open the second half.
Tonight's Husky season highs: 3-pt. field goal percentage (8-18, .444), assists (26), and equaled season high for field goals made (34).
Tonight's Opponent lows: field goals made (11), field goal percentage (11-53, .208), assists (6), fouls (10). The Bears 14.3% shooting (2-14) from beyond the arc equaled a Husky opponent season low.
Twelve different Huskies scored in the contest, led by the 12 points of Kellie O'Neill.
