2023: Cemented status as the best 400m hurdler in school history in his final season, breaking the school record, defending his Pac-12 title, and reaching his first NCAA Outdoor final ... at NCAAs in Austin, lowered his own School Record in the semis with a 49.13 to reach the final, where she placed seventh in 49.21 to earn First Team All-America honors ... advanced to the semifinals of the USATF Outdoor Championships, placing ninth in the semis in 49.44, just missing the final by one spot ... defended his Pac-12 title in the 400m hurdles, becoming the first Husky two-time Pac-12 sprint champion since James Alaka won consecutive 200-meters in 2011-12 … won Pac-12s in 49.31, leading a 1-3-4 Husky finish in the event which helped UW win the team title for the first time … broke the School Record that had stood since 2006 with a victory at the Desert Heat Classic, running 49.26 … advanced through NCAA West Prelims 400m hurdles with a 50.40 in the first round and a 49.57 time in the quarterfinals … broke 50-seconds for the first time at the Mt. 2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): A strong indoor season with PRs across the board … ran the No. 9 time in school history at 800-meters with a time of 1:49.66 at the UW Invitational, taking third … opened the season with the third-fastest 600-meters in school history, winning the UW Indoor Preview in 1:18.67 … ran an indoor 400m PR of 48.05 (converted for altitude from 47.94) at New Mexico … ran the 400m leg on the top DMR of the season that ran a track-converted time of 9:35.64 at the JDL DMR Invite … also ran the 400m leg on the DMR that took second-place at the MPSF Championships … was eighth at the MPSF meet in the 800m in 1:51.74.
2019: Enjoyed an excellent freshman season focusing on the 400-meter hurdles outdoors where he set the UW Freshman Record, scored at Pac-12s, advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals, and was the U.S. junior runner-up … indoors, earned All-America Second Team as part of the Husky DMR … in the 400-meter hurdles, took second at the USATF U20 Championships in June, running 51.30 seconds in the final to qualify for the Pan-Am U20 Championships … at NCAA Prelims, was 16th overall in the quarterfinals with a time of 51.20 and ran on the 4x400m relay that was 19th overall in 3:10.30 … placed fourth at the Pac-12 Championships in a PR of 50.38, the third time he set the UW freshman record, and the No. 4 overall time in school history … also part of the 4x400m relay that was fourth at Pac-12s in a season-best 3:09.22 … took third in the 400m hurdles at the National Relay Championships in Arkansas in 51.02 … won the UW-WSU Dual Meet with a time of 52.19 … broke the 400m hurdles Freshman School Record in his outdoor debut, running 51.13 at the Stanford Invitational to take second … indoors, ran the 400m leg on the DMR which took 10th at NCAA Indoors in Birmingham … primarily ran the 800-meters indoors, finishing the indoor season with a PR of 1:50.55 to take eighth at the MPSF Championships … ran the 400m leg on the DMR that won the Last Chance Elite Meet in 9:28.14, the third-fastest time in school history, to qualify for NCAAs.
High School and Personal: Born in Kirkland, Wash. … parents are Sonya and Jason Elliott … has an older sister, Charli … one of the top hurdlers in Washington state history, as he set the 300-meter hurdles state record and won the 3A state championship as a junior and a senior … as a junior in 2017, he broke the 3A state record in the 300 hurdles by more than half a second, posting a time of 37.11 … won the title again as a senior and had a season-best of 37.13 … stepped up to the 400m hurdles several times, and set a PR in 2018 with a time of 51.72 seconds at the U.S. Junior Championships where he placed fourth … second at the USATF Junior Olympic National Championships in 2016, 2017, and 2018 in the 400m hurdles … also completed multiple decathlons, winning the 2017 Washington State Multi-Events title last year and posting a decathlon PR of 6,235 to win the Junior Olympic Regional title … a four-year letterwinner in basketball and two-time letterman in football where he was an All-Metro League punter.
