2023 All-America Second Team (Mile, Indoors)
2023 (Track At Washington): In his one season as a Dawgs, earned All-America Second Team honors indoors in the mile as part of UW’s record-setting mid-distance squad … outdoors, placed fourth in the Pac-12 Championships 1,500-meters final in 3:44.67 helping UW win its first team title … competed at NCAA West Prelims in the 1,500m but was unable to advance … after the collegiate season, had a season-best 1500m of 3:39.45 at the Harry Jerome Classic … took sixth in the 1500m final at the Canadian National Championships … ran on the 4xMile relay at the Penn Relays as UW took third in 16:14.31 … indoors, one of six Husky mile qualifiers for the NCAA Indoor Championships and one of eight Dawgs to run sub-four minute miles (all eight went sub-3:56) during the historic season … ran a mile PR and his NCAA qualifier at the BU Last Chance Qualifier, going 3:55.60 for the No. 9 mark in UW history … the BU race was the second time that eight Huskies ran sub-four in the same race, the first was the UW Invitational on Jan. 27, where Ahl ran 3:57.94 … another sub-four mile at the Husky Classic where he went 3:59.50 … opened the season running the 1,000-meters in 2:24.01 at the UW Indoor Preview … joined the team after fall quarter so did not race cross country.
2021-22 (Track At Simon Fraser): Was the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Male Athlete of the Year across all sports for 2021-22 … made the NCAA D-II Outdoor Championship finals in both the 800m and 1,500-meters, placing 10th in the 1500m … the GNAC outdoor champ in the 800m and third in the 1,500m … a season-best 800m time of 1:48.75 at NCAAs, and season-best 1,500m of 3:39.97 set at the Bryan Clay Invitational … indoors, ran on the DMR that finished runner-up at NCAA D-II Indoors, and was 11th in the mile and fourth in the 3,000-meters … swept the GNAC Indoor Championship titles in the mile, 3k, and DMR … the USTFCCCA West Region Track Athlete of the Year indoors … ran in the Dempsey, posting a 3k PR of 7:53.89 … a mile season-best of 3:57.95 at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic … (Cross Country At Simon Fraser): Won the 2021 GNAC Cross Country Championship … placed 23rd at NCAA D-II West Regionals.
2020-21 (Track At Simon Fraser): Limited competition opportunities due to Covid-19, only racing at four different SFU Spring Series meets from April-May … had an 800m time of 1:50.70 at the first meet, and a 1,500m best of 3:42.23 at the final one … no 2020 cross country season.
2019-20 (Track At Simon Fraser): Season canceled due to Covid-19 … (Cross Country At Simon Fraser): placed 39th at the NCAA D-II West Regionals … was 19th overall at the GNAC Championships.
2018-19 (Track At Simon Fraser): Made it to the NCAA D-II Outdoor Championships in the steeplechase, where he finished 14th overall in the prelims … at the GNAC Outdoor Championships, was third in the steeplechase and fifth in the 1,500-meters … season-best 1,500m time of 3:51.14 at the Portland Twilight … best steeple time of the season was 9:02.10 at the Bryan Clay Invite … indoors, qualified for the NCAA D-II Indoor Championships in the mile, finishing 16th in the prelims … at GNAC Indoors, ran on the winning DMR, was third in the mile, and eighth in the 800m … set a mile best of 4:06.92 at the BU Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite … raced at Washington’s Dempsey, running the mile in 4:12.58 at the UW Indoor Preview … (Cross Country At Simon Fraser): Ran at the NCAA D-II Cross Country Championships, finishing 198th overall … was 21st at NCAA West Regionals.
2017-18 (Track At Simon Fraser): Placed 11th in the steeplechase as a true freshman at the GNAC Outdoor Championships, and was 16th in the 1,500m … steeple season-best of 9:06.30 at the Bryan Clay Invite … indoors, won the GNAC indoor DMR title, and was eighth in the mile … raced three times in the Dempsey, with a fastest mile of 4:15.82 at the SPU Final Qualifier … (Cross Country At Simon Fraser): Finished 56th at GNAC Championships … raced at UW’s Sundodger Invitational, finishing 78th overall.
