2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): A strong first indoor season as he climbed the ranks to No. 4 in school history in the heptathlon โฆ had a two-day point total of 5,445 in the heptathlon at the MPSF Championships to take fifth-place, setting season-bests in five events โฆ at MPSFs, ran a 60m dash best of 7.18, had a long jump best of 22-0 1/4, a shot put best of 37-7 1/4, a pole vault best of 15-5, and a 1,000-meters best of 2:38.86 โฆ also completed his first heptathlon at the UW Invitational, scoring 5,345 points including a high jump PR of 6-7 and a 60m hurdles PR of 8.57 โฆ earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
High School and Personal: Born in Yeovil, United Kingdom โฆ parents are Alan and Rosie Thorner โฆ has one older brother, Ben, and a twin sister, Elise โฆ one of the top British juniors in the multi-events, competing in the 2018 European U18 Championships and finishing 12th with a decathlon score of 6,982 points โฆ took third at the England U20 Combined Events Championships in May of 2019 with a new decathlon PR of 7,229 โฆ placed first at the 2018 Swiss National Combined Events Championships with a total of 7,032 โฆ his decathlon PR ranked him 25th worldwide in the U20 rankings in 2019.
