2022: Competed twice indoors before having hand surgery and missing the remainder of the year … a strong shot put series at the Pac-12 Invitational, throwing 63-3 ¼.
2021: Finished top-10 at both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships, earning a pair of All-America honors in the shot put … at the NCAA Outdoor meet, on his sixth and final throw, had a season-best mark of 64-6 ½ to go from ninth to eighth and score his first point at nationals, earning First Team All-America honors … became the first Husky to score at NCAA Outdoors in the shot put since 1996 … competed at his first U.S. Olympic Trials, placing 20th overall in the shot put at Hayward Field ... finished third at the Pac-12 Championships in the shot with a toss of 64-0 ½, and was fourth in the discus at 180-4 … qualified for nationals with a 10th-place shot put finish at 63-0 ¼ and was 19th in the discus … won both the shot put and discus at the UW-WSU Dual, going 62-4 in the shot and 189-2 in the discus … set a discus PR of 191-3 in the Jim Click Shootout, going to No. 10 in school history … indoors, made the final in the shot put at NCAA Indoors, but just missed scoring with a ninth-place mark of 62-11 ¼ … opened the year with a win at the UW Invitational, going 64-2 ¼, the No. 3 mark indoors in school history.
2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): Redshirted the indoor season to preserve a year of eligibility, competing twice unattached but setting career-bests … won the UW Invitational shot put with a lifetime-best toss of 65-10 1/2 which would have been the new school record if done in uniform, and also would have been an NCAA Indoor Championships qualifier … also won the UW Indoor Preview with a mark of 64-7 1/4, tying his outdoor PR.
2019: A huge breakthrough season as he became the first Husky since 2000 to qualify for NCAA Outdoors in both the discus and the shot put, and the first Husky to qualify in the shot put since 2000, period … added nine feet to his shot put PR and 10 feet to his discus PR in his second season … at his first NCAA meet in Austin, finished 16th in the shot put for Second Team All-America honors, and placed 20th in the discus for Honorable Mention All-America … at the Pac-12 Championships, was top-five in both events, taking fifth in the shot put at 62-5 3/4 and fourth in the discus with a PR of 186-10 … tossed a shot put PR of 64-7 1/4 to win the Stanford Invitational, the best mark by a Husky since 1998 and third-best in school history … also threw 64-1 1/4 at the Beach Invitational … at NCAA West Prelims, got the 12th and final qualifying spot in the discus with a throw of 181-1 and was 10th in the shot put at 62-11 1/4 … won the shot at the UW-WSU Dual at 61-2 1/4 and was third in the discus … second in the shot put at the National Relay Championships at 62-3 1/4 and third in the discus at 179-3 … indoors, took fourth at the MPSF Championships with an indoor PR of 63-4 that was fourth-best in school history … had a then-PR by nearly two feet at the UW Invitational, taking second at 63-3 1/4 … won the season opening UW Indoor Preview at 61-4 3/4 which was nearly a four-foot PR to open the season.
2018: An impressive freshman season throwing the discus and shot … scored at his first Pac-12 Championships with an eighth-place finish in the shot put at 55-1 ½, and finished 11th in the discus at 162-6 … won both the shot put and the discus titles in the UW-WSU Dual, throwing 174-8 in the discus and 54-2 in the shot put … third in the shot put at the Pepsi Team Invite at 54-10 ¼ and second in the discus at 162-8 in very wet conditions … best discus mark came in his opener, throwing 175-9 for second at the Trojan Invitational … indoors, competed four times in the shot put and was 13th at the MPSF Championships going 54-9 ½ … twice threw a mark of 57-8 ½, once at the Husky Classic and also at the UW Invitational, which put him at No. 8 on the indoor Husky top-10 lists.
High School and Personal: Born in Clovis, California … parents are Todd and Christy Wilson … has two older sisters, Annalyse and Holly, and one younger brother, Sam … father Todd was a two-time All-American thrower at Washington from 1988-91, with a best NCAA Championship finish of fifth in the discus at 1991, going on to compete at the Olympic Trials … had one of the best discus throws in U.S. high school history to highlight his senior season, breaking the California state discus record with a throw of 221-feet, 5-inches at the Battle of Central Cal in April, 2017 … that mark ranks him No. 6 in U.S. history and No. 2 in the nation in 2017 … also a standout shot putter, winning the California State Championship in the shot put with a PR toss of 66-2 ¾ at the state meet to rank 10th in the nation … a MileSplit All-American for both shot put and discus in 2017 … third at the 2017 state meet in the discus with a toss of 198-2 … won the 2017 Arcadia Invite shot put at 64-3 and threw 201-0 in the discus for fourth … won the Tri River league discus title as a senior with a mark of 201-4 and also won the CIF Central Section Masters Championship at 199-11.
