GETTING TO KNOW HARRISON GOONEWARDENE
First memory of baseball?
Having my dad tie a ball on a string to our porch so I could stand and hit all day.
What is your greatest baseball memory?
It would be a tie between winning the Washington State Championship my junior year and teh day that Coach Meggs offered me the opportunity to be a Husky.
Any pre-game routines or superstitions?
I never step on the line. I always jump over the foul line the same way, every time.
Who is your favorite baseball playerand why?
Mike Trout, because he has great talent but most importanly he works incredibly hard and never tries to overshadow his teammates.
Why did you choose Washington?
I choose Washington becayse the coahing staff believes in long term player development, both in athletics and academics. UW offers a world class education and facilities.
