Caps and Norcal Baseball … played for Norcal with fellow UW teammate Noah Bremer … favorite baseball player is Tampa Bay pitcher David Price and his favorite team is the New York Yankees.

2017: 2017 Arthur Ashe Award winner ... did not pitched in 2017.
2016: Made 3 appearances, 2 starts, posting a 1-1 record, 5.40 ERA ... allowed 2 ER in relief appearance May 29 at Utah, his first game in over a month ... L#1 on April 19 vs. Seattle U (1.2 IP, 5H, 2ER, K) ... season debut March 29 vs. Gonzaga, earning start and win in combined shutout, 2-0 (5IP, 3H, 2BB, K).
2015: Made one appearance as a freshman ... made UW debut in first game of double-header vs. North Dakota allowing two runs (1.0 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K) ... will pitch for the Bellingham Bells this summer.

First team All-West Alameda Foothills 2012-2014 … first Team All-Hayward Area as a sophomore and All-West Alameda Foothills as a junior and WACC MVP pitcher in 2013 … has helped lead Bishop O’Dowd to the top-seed in the playoffs each year … 2013 Triple Impact Competitor Scholarship recipient Positive Coaching Alliance … was 7-1, 0.54 ERA, 86 strikeouts and 30 walks in 11 games as a junior, including 3 complete games and 2 shutouts … also batted .375 with nine RBI in 2013 … overall is 12-3, 0.89 in 28 high school varsity appearances … played for head coach Chris Kyriacou … also lettered in football as a freshman and sophomore.

Channing makes everyone around him a better player and a better person. When he takes the mound, you’re excited to play behind him because you expect to win. Channing throws a fastball in the mid to upper eighties with a true power breaking ball and a good change. Channing knows how to win and he’s such a competitor that I expect him to come in here and pitch himself into a front line role the minute he shows up.”

I love the idea that one must have the mental strength to overcome the constant failure and push for greatness.

David Price. I have similar mechanics to his. He’s dominant.
I choose Washington because...:
I loved the environment, the staff, and the family feel of the program. It is a great group of guys to play with and play for.
