
Washington Falls Just Short Against No. 26 Southern Utah

CEDAR CITY – The Washington Huskies recorded a 195.550 but fell to No. 26 Southern Utah, which scored 196.900.
The GymDawgs opened the meet on bars, their strongest event of the night, recording a 49.025. Several Huskies scored 9.825, including Kristin Lin, Deiah Moody, Lilly Tubbs, and Mary McDonough, tying for second overall on the event. Lin's score marked a new season-high. Evelyn DeYoung made her second appearance in the lineup, earning a 9.725.
Washington then moved to vault and posted its second-highest rotation score with a 48.900. Tubbs led the lineup with a 9.850, finishing third overall and matching her season-high. McDonough added a 9.800, while Kira Bolden contributed a 9.775.
On floor, the Huskies scored 48.750. Caitlin McWilliams and Bolden each recorded a 9.850, followed by Chelsea Hallinan with a 9.775. Lin added a 9.725.
Washington closed the meet on beam with a 48.875. Moody led the rotation with a 9.875, tying for third overall. Elena Brian, competing in the beam lineup for just the second time, posted a career-high 9.825. Lana Navarro followed with a 9.800.
Lin finished the night with a 39.025 in the all-around, her fourth-highest total of the season and the fifth time she has surpassed 39.000 this year.
