
Huskies Set Sights on Big Ten Championship

SEATTLE – Washington competes at the Big Ten Championships on Friday, March 20, at State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois. The Huskies will take part in the first of three sessions, alongside No. 41 Illinois, No. 32 Nebraska, and No. 37 Rutgers.

Washington closed out the regular season with its highest team score of the year, posting a 196.575 to finish second at the Cal Quad. The GymDawgs delivered their strongest performance on beam, recording a season-best 49.525, the team's top event score of the year and just the second time in program history reaching that mark, last accomplished in 2020. The performance was highlighted by Olivia Oppegard's career-high 9.950 to win the event. Kristin Lin added a career-high 9.925 on beam and finished second all-around with a career-best 39.325. Washington also posted a strong 49.225 on floor, led by Caitlin McWilliams' 9.900 to tie for second. Additional standout performances included 9.900s from Lilly Tubbs and Chelsea Hallinan on beam, along with a season-high 9.825 from Mary McDonough on vault.
Nationally, Washington is ranked No. 35. Individually, Hallinan is tied for 10th on beam in the Big Ten.

Rutgers enters the meet after a season-high 196.550 at the Rutgers March Quad, highlighted by a program-record 49.475 on floor and multiple standout routines, including a 9.950 from Gabrielle Dildy to carry strong momentum into postseason competition.
