Washington Falls To Purdue In West Lafayette

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. β The Washington women's basketball team (12-4, 2-3 Big Ten) fell to Purdue (10-7, 2-4 Big Ten) 78-72, on Sunday afternoon in Mackey Arena.
The Huskies had four different players finish in double figures. UW consistently attacked the cup against the Boilermakers, recording 40 points in the paint.
Washington outrebounded Purdue, 41-37. Hannah Stines, Avery Howell, and Elle Ladine each pulled down eight boards. Sellers added six more rebounds for the Huskies.
Sellers led all scorers with 23 points, while tacking on three assists and two steals.
Howell and Ladine each recorded 13 points. Ladine filled up the stat sheet, registering four offensive rebounds, four defensive rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal. She also finished a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.
Stines finished the afternoon with 11 points and led all Huskies with three 3-pointers. The senior also added two assists, two steals, and a block.
Up next, the Huskies continue their Indiana trip with a game at Indiana on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 4:00 p.m. PT.
