Strong First Half Not Enough For Huskies Against No. 17 Purdue

SEATTLE (AP) – Great Osobor scored a season-high 28 points on five three-pointers, but Washington fell to No. 17 Purdue 69-58 on Wednesday night at Alaska Airlines Arena.
The Huskies (10-8, 1-6) led by 10 late in the first half and were up by eight at the break, making over 47 percent of their shots in the first 20 minutes.
UW made 9 of 22 shots (41 percent) from long distance and held the Boilermakers to 3 of 13 (23 percent).
Osobor made 8 of 9 shots from the field and a career-best 5 of 5 from beyond the arc. He also pulled down nine boards and notched three steals.
Mekhi Mason scored 12 points on 5 of 11 shooting to go with three steals.
Washington visits No. 13 Oregon on Tuesday before returning home to host UCLA on Friday, Jan. 24.
