SEATTLE – A whirlwind weekend of track action has the Huskies hitting up three meets in Southern California this week, with athletes competing from Wednesday through Saturday. Washington will take part in the annual Mt. SAC Relays, the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, and the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Nearly fifty Huskies are traveling this week to compete. The Mt. SAC Relays will start things off on Wednesday, Apr. 12, in Walnut, Calif. with the first day of the multi-events, which are scheduled to feature Huskies Ida Eikeng, Jami Schluter, and Ollie Thorner. The Relays will also showcase some of the Husky sprinters, jumpers, vaulters, and javelin throwers over the next several days.
On Thursday, the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate takes place, hosted by Long Beach State. That will feature the Husky throwers, save for the javelin crew, which is slated to be at Mt. SAC.
In Azusa, Calif., the Bryan Clay Invitational starts Thursday and runs through Saturday, and that will be where the Husky middle and long distance runners will chase some fast times.
