
Washington’s Special Season Comes to an End in Fab 4

LAWRENCE, Kan. – A truly special season came to an end Wednesday night as Washington women's basketball (19-15, 7-11 Pac-12) fell to Kansas (24-11, 9-9 Big 12) 36-61 in the WNIT Fab 4 at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan.
In their first postseason appearance since 2017, the Huskies went the furthest in the WNIT in program history.
After hosting the first four games of the WNIT in Alaska Airlines Arena, Washington hit the road to take on Kansas for a tough game.
Dalayah Daniels recorded her eighth double-double of the season, putting up 10 points and a game-leading 13 rebounds. Daniels also tied her career high in blocks with five. Jayda Noble grabbed nine rebounds and had a game-leading four assists. Haley Van Dyke put up six points, six rebounds, and three steals. Washington out-rebounded Kansas 49-36.
The Huskies went into the postseason already having recorded the most wins in a season since 2016-17, finishing their best in the conference in the same time span, and earning the automatic qualifier to their first postseason since.
Washington has a lot to be proud of this season. The future is bright for Husky basketball.
