
WNIT Bracket Set, Washington to Host Round 1 Thursday

SEATTLE – The bracket has been set for the 2023 Postseason Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), in which Washington women's basketball (15-14, 7-11) was selected to on Sunday as an automatic qualifier, and on Monday was named a host site for Round 1.
The Huskies will take on San Francisco in the first round, scheduled to tip off Thursday, March 16 at 7 p.m. PT in Alaska Airlines Arena.
This will be UW's seventh WNIT appearance, the last time coming in 2014 when they made it to the Quarterfinals. The Huskies have made it to the WNIT Quarterfinals in three of their six appearances. Washington has hosted at least one round in every year in which they've competed in the tournament.
