Huskies Sign Devin Coppinger
November 08, 2023 | Women's Basketball
SEATTLE – Washington women's basketball head coach Tina Langley and staff welcomed a new Husky to Montlake on National Signing Day today with Devin Coppinger.
DEVIN COPPINGER
Devin Coppinger, a 5-10 guard from Everson, Wash. (Nooksack Valley High School), will be staying in-state to come to Washington.
Coppinger, a four-star recruit, was rated No. 35 in the ESPNW Top 100 rankings, and received a scout grade of 95 from ESPN. The two-time Northwest Conference Player of the Year led her high school team to their first-ever WIAA 1A State Championship, where she was named MVP.
"Devin is one of the best two-way guards in the country," Langley said. "She scores the ball at all three levels, defends multiple positions, and plays with a toughness that elevates her team. On and off the court, her work ethic, drive, coach-ability, competitiveness, and selflessness set her apart as a leader. She comes from an incredible family and community who exemplify the values we strive for here at Washington. Her decision to stay close to home means the world to us, and we feel so honored to have her as a part of our program."
