
Crosstown Matchup Goes to the Dawgs

SEATTLE – Washington women's basketball (4-0, 0-0) defeated Seattle U (0-4, 0-0 WAC) 80-64 in a crosstown matchup Saturday afternoon in Alaska Airlines Arena.
Elle Ladine was already in double digits in the first half, and the Huskies went into halftime with a 36-28 lead.
Hannah Stines got the scoring started coming out of halftime, and finished with nine points and a career high-tying six rebounds.
Ladine finished with a team-leading 18 points, and recorded a new career high rebounds with 12 for her first career double double.
Lauren Schwartz (16 points), Sayvia Sellers (14), and Dalayah Daniels (12) were the other Huskies in double digits. Schwartz's 16 points was a season high, and she also recorded three steals.
Daniels recorded her 14th career double double (12 points, 10 rebounds) and 10th as a Husky. It was also her second of the season. Daniels also added three blocks.
Washington out-rebounded Seattle 54-33, and held the Redhawks to 36.9%, below their season average field goal percentage.
Next up, the Huskies travel to Honolulu, Hawaii to take on Idaho State, Air Force, and Hawaii in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown November 24-26.
