CORVALLIS, Ore. – Olivia Van der Jagt scored the game-winner late to give Washington a 2-1 win over Oregon State on Thursday afternoon. The goal was Van der Jagt's third of the season, coming in the 79^th minute and was the difference maker for the Huskies (5-7-4, 3-3-3) as they continue their march toward the postseason.

Washington came out aggressive from the opening kickoff and were able to create good opportunities at goal throughout the first half. McKenzie Weinert made an immediate impact from the minute she stepped on the field, playing against her former team. Her five shots were a team high on the day, with two on target, nearly scoring when she had a shot rattle off the crossbar and another weaving around the Beaver defenders.

The Huskies took a 1-0 lead in the 38^th minute when Weinert played a cross in, and the ball was knocked around the box, with Ruby Hellstrom the last to get her foot on it, and able to poke it home. Summer Yates and Ameera Hussen were credited with assists on the play.

Yates earned her fourth assist of the season and also her 54^th career point, which is ninth in program history.

The Beavers were able to equalize in the 61st minute on an unassisted goal by McKenna Martinez.

The Huskies kept up the attack late in the match, looking for the go-ahead goal. UW was rewarded with over ten minutes to play when Van der Jagt found the ball in the middle of the box off a corner kick, delivering a shot that was blocked initially and ended up back at her feet. Karlee Stueckle nudged it toward Van der Jagt where she was then able to finish it off for the goal, giving the Huskies a 2-1 lead.

Olivia Sekany was big in goal all match long, with seven saves on the day, tied for the second most of the season. Helena Reischling provided an attacking element from the back, with three shots on the day, including one just over the top of the crossbar.

UW finished with 23 shots in the match, a season high, with nine on frame. Van der Jagt played in her 86^th career match as a Husky, which is now tied for the most in Husky history with Kate Deines.

Washington continues their road trip in Eugene on Sunday, facing Oregon at 1:00 p.m.
