Pac-12 Play Begins

SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies return home after a two-week road trip to start conference play, hosting Pac-12 foe Oregon on Friday, September 27 at 7:00 pm. Washington will look to continue a stretch of strong play that has seen it win three of the last four games, all on the road.
Washington will try to win its first Pac-12 game of the year at home. Washington has historically done well against Oregon, winning the last three games against the Ducks and compiling a 16-4-2 all-time record.
The Huskies are coming off their highest-scoring game of the year, beating Cal Poly 5-0. It was Washington's biggest win since beating Seattle U last season, also by a score of 5-0. Summer Yates, Kennedy Smith, Ally Remington, and Isabella Castro all scored against Cal Poly.

GOALS FOR SMITH | |
Kennedy Smith scored again against Cal Poly, giving her goals in back-to-back games. Smith and Summer Yates are the only Huskies to score in back-to-back games this year. The goal also gave Smith her first season with multiple goals. After recording only one off-target shot in the first six games this year, Smith has two goals on five shots over the last two games, with four of those five shots on goal. |

Entering Washington's Texas road trip, Isabella Castro had not recorded a point since September 11, 2016, when she scored her first goal. In the last two games, Castro has recorded a goal and three assists, giving her the first two multi-point games of her career. Castro had not recorded an assist in her career before putting up three in her last 76 minutes played. Castro has been a part of half of Washington's goals over the last two games. |

SUMMER SCORING | |
Summer Yates had the first brace of her career at Cal Poly. Yates joins Kaylene Pang as the only active Huskies with braces in their careers: Pang scored twice against Cal last season. Since moving into the starting lineup against #2 North Carolina, Yates has five goals and two assists, including three games with multiple points. That includes two games with a goal and an assist as well as Yates' brace. All but one assist of Yates' 20 career points have come in non-conference play. |
