SEATTLE -- The Husky Baseball team (20-18) will be the headlining act of Dawg Fest 2019 as they host Seattle U (9-33) at Husky Ballpark on Tuesday night.
The Diamond DawgsΒ are coming off winning two-of-three games against 15th-ranked Arizona State this past weekend and will try to keep the party going against the Redhawks. They are 4-1 in midweek games this season, including a 6-3 win on March 5 at Seattle U.
Washington is putting freshman left-hander Diego Barrera center stage against the Redhawks. It will mark his fifth appearance and the first start of his college career.
While the game is the headlining act of the night for Dawg Fest, there will be plenty of activities taking place on the side stages.
DAWG FEST
Dawg Fest will be a transformative baseball experience featuring the best in hot dogs, sodas, popcorn, and adventure. The first 200 fans will receive a free glow stick, and hot dogs will be available for just $1. There will be plenty of Instagram-worthy photo ops along with a festival-inspired playlist and VIP seating for social media influencers.
During the game, promotions will include a three-legged luggage race, a cheese sandwich eating contest, and a treasure hunt. There will also be a swim-up pool while the Husky Idol winner will be singing the National Anthem.
UW-SEATTLE U HISTORY
UW leads the all-time series 80-54. The teams split the series in 2018, each team winning on their opponent's home field. UW has won the last three games at Bannerwood Park 2017-19.
