STANFORD, Calif. – The Washington men's golf team is in fifth place after the completion of the second round of play on Friday at The Goodwin. The Dawgs carded an 11-over round of 291 at Stanford Golf Course and sit at 9-over par for the tournament.

"Tougher day for us but it's a really great test of golf," said head coach Alan Murray. "We are in good shape headed into the final round, we just need to focus on being ready to play tomorrow. Like I said to the guys, this week has been a clear sign of progress and we continue to get better. Let's make sure we finish off with a good last round."

Sophomore Jan Schneider is tied for 10^th at even par after two rounds of play. Schneider shot a 2-over round of 72 on the day.

Freshman Paul Margolis carded a 1-under round of 69, which puts him a 1-over for the tournament and in a tie for 15^th place.

Junior Henry Lee sits in a tie for 27^th place at 3-over par after carding a 3-over round of 73 on Friday.

Sophomore Noah Woolsey shot a 7-over round of 77, and he is at 5-over par for the tournament and tied for 40^th place.

Senior William Mansfield shot a round of 85 and is in 130^th place.

UW is shooting 3-over on the par-3's through two rounds, which is fourth out of the 26 competing teams.

Stanford leads the tournament at 2-under par and is seven shots ahead of second place USC. Kaito Onishi of USC is the individual leader at 5-under par.

The Huskies will tee off the final round of play beginning at 12:55 p.m. playing alongside Oklahoma and Florida.
