Moser Returns as Coordinator of Player Development
October 05, 2019 | Women's Basketball
SEATTLE --- Washington women's basketball Head Coach Jody Wynn announced the addition of a familiar face to the Husky support staff for the 2019-20 season as Jenna Moser returns to the bench as the Coordinator of Player Development.
"We are so excited to welcome Jenna back to Montlake," said Wynn. "Jenna was a terrific Husky who will be a great mentor to our young women. She also cares deeply about continuing to build our program back to the championship level. Jenna's work ethic as a student-athlete allowed her to excel on & off the court, and we are now thrilled to have her on staff, helping propel UW women's basketball forward."
"I'm really excited to be back with this program and be surrounded by people and an environment that I love!" said Moser. "This is a great opportunity to learn and grow professionally and experience the game and industry from a new prospective. I can't wait to give back to the program that has taught me so much."
Moser—a former practice player who earned a spot on the team in 2015-16—was a key member of the program over the last two seasons, earning a full scholarship and serving as the lone player to start all 62 games. She averaged 6.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals over her last two seasons, but more importantly served as a team leader and captain over that time.
Washington closed out the 2018-19 season with an impressive run through the Pac-12 Tournament, upsetting Utah and Oregon State to reach the tournament semifinals for the second time in program history. The Huskies return 85 percent of their scoring from last year, adding a trio of four-star recruits and a talented junior college transfer point guard to the 2019-20 squad.
