
UW Wraps Up Seven-Game Road Swing at San Diego St.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The Huskies (13-11, 6-3 Pac-12) wrap up their seven-game road swing with a single game on Monday at No. 23/25 San Diego State (18-9, 7-4 MWC). First pitch at Tony Gwynn Stadium is slated for 1:00 p.m. PT.
The Huskies will send left-handed sophomore Chris Micheles (0-2, 12.33) to the hill against right-handed junior Justin Goosen-Brown (1-1, 3.38).
Washington is coming off a series win at USC and are currently tied for second in the Pac-12 with Oregon State and UCLA at 6-3. Β
The Huskies will return home for its next eight-games, starting next Friday through Saturday against nationally-ranked East Carolina. Constant game updates will be tweeted @UW_Baseball and fans can find all links at GoHuskies.com. Β
SERIES HISTORY VS. SAN DIEGO STATE
The Huskies are 6-9 all-time against San Diego State, but have won four-of-the-last five meetings. All 15 games Β in the series have taken place in San Diego. The team's last met in 2012, with the Huskies winning two-of-three against the Aztecs. That series was the season openers for both teams. Washington won the first two games in the series before San Diego St. won the series finale. USC's last series win came in 2015 in Seattle. Β The two teams first met back in 1959. The first time the two teams met was in 1965 that saw the Aztecs winnning both games that year. The teams met five times in 1974 with the Aztecs going 3-2. San Diego State won single games in 1981 and 1983 before Washington took single games in 1994 and 2003.

The following is a list of key players that have missed games, their injury and number of games missed: Willie MacIver (20 gms, broken hamate bone), Josh Burgmann (20 gms, TJ surgery recovery), AJ Graffanino (14 gms, hamstring*), Joe DeMers (1 1/2 starts, hamstring), Mason Cerrillo (3 gms, dislocated finger/shoulder), Jonathan Schiffer (3 gms, back), Ben Baird (2 gms, wrist*) , KJ Brady (2 gms, hamstring*), Braiden Ward (2 gms, wrist) and Levi Jordan (1 game, ankle). β’ Making The Grade: Last Monday was the start of Spring Quarter for UW students. The Husky Baseball team had another outstanding winter quarter combining for a 3.11 GPA. A total of 23 players had a GPA of 3.00 or higher, 10 made the Dean's List (3.5 or better) and Adam Davenport posted a perfect 4.0 GPA.
β’ Late Game Success: The Huskies are 12-0 when they lead or are tied after 8 innings. They are 4-0 when tied after 8 innings and 4-0 in extra-inning games.Β
β’ Taking No. 1 Head On: The Huskies handed No. 1 Oregon State it's second loss of the year and have handed the Beavers, who are 77-10 since 2017, two losses during that span.Β
β’ Error Note: UW has committed 29 errors in 24 games this season. In 2017, they led the Pac-12 and ranked 3rd nationally in fielding pct (.982) and committed 36 errors over a span of 54 games.

β’ Hardy has not allowed a run over his last eight appearances. Over that span of 13 innings, he has been able to lower his ERA from 2.19 to its current 1.07.
β’ Mason Cerrillo ranks sixth among Pac-12 hitters with a .368 average and is 9th in on-base percentage (.449).
β’ Nick Kahle is fifth in the Pac-12 with 9 doubles.Β
