Last year, UW overcame a 9-1 deficit in game one to win, 11-10, dropped game two and won the series finale, 7-4, behind six strong innings on the hill by Jordan Jones. The Dawgs are 8-1 over the last nine games in LA. Last time in LA in 2016, the Huskies bounced back from the series opening loss to defeat the Trojans 7-3 and 6-0. β’ Taking No. 1 Head On: The Huskies handed No. 1 Oregon State it's second loss of the year and have handed the Beavers, who are 76-8 since 2017, two losses during that span. The only other team to beat them twice in that stretch is LSU.Β

β’ DeMers is also nearing some UW career top-10 lists. His next start on the mound will be his 36th, which is tied for 10th most in UW history. β’ Jordan Jones enters the weekend 25th nationally with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 8.5, good enough for second among Pac-12 hurlers. He also is among Pac-12 leaders in the following pitching categories: innings pitched (T3, 39.0), strikeouts (T7, 34) and opposing batting avg (11th, .221).
