The Huskies current eight-game losing streak is the worst in school history, with the next longest skid of six games coming during the 1999-2000 season. Their current four-game home losing streak also matches their longest of all time, with the last time the Huskies lost four straight at home occurring during the 04-05 season.
The Huskies wore pink uniforms to honor and remember Kay Yow, the longtime head coach of the North Carolina State women's basketball program who lost her courageous battle with breast cancer last Saturday. The Huskies will wear the same uniforms when they participate in the WBCA's annual PinkZone initiative, Feb. 13-22, aimed to assist in raising breast cancer awareness.
