Washington improves their all time record against USC to 28-20 (16-5 when playing at home).
Trailing 23-26 with 5:10 left in the first half, the Huskies held the Trojans scoreless for the remainder of the half, going on an 11-0 run to head into the locker room up 34-26.
The Huskies committed just 3 turnovers in the first half, at one point going a ten minute stretch without giving the ball away.
Washington outscored the Trojans 36-14 in the paint, thanks in part to 12 points from Jess McCormack and having three players (Florence, Whitcomb, and Plouffe) with double-figures in rebounding.
In her seventh game back since sitting out 10 games due to Achilles tendonitis in her calf, Andrea Plouffe led all scorers with season-high 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds (also a season high).
Senior guard Emily Florence and freshman forward Katelan Redmon rarely left the floor, playing 38 and 39 minutes, respectively.
The Huskies committed a season-low 9 fouls, in comparison to USC's 15.
The Huskies held the Trojans to 25.7% (18-70) shooting for the game, a season low for any UW opponent. The Trojans 45 points were also a season-low for an opponent, and the Huskies have held two of their last three adversaries under 50 points.
Sophomore Sami Whitcomb set a career high with 12 rebounds (also an individual season-high for the Huskies). Her previous high of 10 was set in Thursday's game vs. UCLA, and marked her first ever game rebounding in double-figures.
The Huskies end their two game home stand with a record of 1-1, and will travel to Oregon State to take on the Beavers on Jan. 17.
