Head Coach Tia Jackson
General Comments:
"There were two games tonight. There was a first half and a second half. The Huskies played the second half and I don't know who it was that played the first half. That is the way we should've been playing. The result of that is that we win the second half by seven. It was awesome. At least we went out on a good note, but definitely not excited about the way we started the game."On platooning in the second half: "It was more my frustration showing in the game. I got sick of what I was looking at so I wanted to see something different. It wasn't getting done the way it was supposed to get done so we changed the style of what we were doing. It was, `lets just press.' We put the second group in and they actually set the example. They played awesome. Maybe we'll play that ASU style of basketball and just sub five in all the time. If I could sub six I would. I looked over at my staff and said, `I'm not watching this anymore.' I called the next group, told them what to do and sent them in."
On the first half: "I think we got a good four minutes out of the first half. At the start of the game we executed the game plan. We wanted to double Jantel Lavender and we did that. She turned it over, traveled, threw it away and was throwing up shots that we wanted to give up. And then they got rebounds. The reason they shot 50 percent in the second half was because they got a second opportunity and it was a wide-open layup off of an offensive board. That was when we started to break down. Then they went on a run. That is kind of a tough pill to swallow because most of that run was off of offensive boards."
On Andrea Plouffe returning: "It just got everyone fired up more. It was great to have her out there. She will feel it. She has only practiced about a week. And she has only practiced an hour each day for four days. So she will feel it on the physical side, but the good thing is that we don't play for five days."
On Jess McCormack: "I was happy to see her come back. She came into my office yesterday and was very frustrated about how she has been playing. She felt like she was letting the team down. I gave her two things to work on today instead of trying to look at the big picture. I think that is what we all collectively need to do. We called this the potluck game tonight because I wanted to know what you are bringing individually. And Jess brought her two. One of those things was rebounding and one was finishing around the rim."
Sophomore Sarah Mosiman
On coming of the bench:
"We just wanted to come out and spark the team and find our posts because they vanished in the first half. We really wanted to focus on getting the ball inside and running and getting the other team tired."On substituting half the team: "We were all talking about how much fun it was to come out and just go all out. We haven't done that too much this year, but that's definitely going to change."
Senior Emily Florence
On substituting half the team:
"I looked over there and I was like `everybody is coming out?' I think it sparked us seeing them come out there with all that energy."On the first half: "I think we just dug ourselves into a hole. We didn't box out. We were right with them the first four minutes. I think it came down to boxing out and rebounding for sure."
On what Coach Tia Jackson said during halftime: "There were a couple of times where girls went up for shots and nobody was even around the big post. She just got it and went up for another lay up. She was really frustrated with that."

On the post-game upbeat mood:
"We have momentum so that second half gives us something to look forward to for the Purdue game."
