UCLA's Noelle Quinn scored 18 points Sunday, marking her 35th consecutive game in double figures. Blue's 18 points moved her up to 17th in UCLA history with 1,089 career points.
Kristen O'Neill's 19 points were a career-high, and matched the season-high for any UW player in 2004-05. After scoring in double figures just four times in the Huskies' first 10 games of the season, O'Neill has done so in five of the last six, averaging 12.7 points per game during that stretch.
Washington hit eight of its first 12 shots, and held UCLA to 3-for-13 shooting, while opening the game on a 20-10 run in the first 7:38. The Bruins, however, hit their next five straight shots to begin a 29-9 run over the remaining 12:22 of the half, during which the Huskies hit just three field goals in 18 attempts (17 percent).
The win for UCLA was its third-straight in the series, and its fourth in the last five. The Bruins have now won two straight against Washington in Seattle, after winning just three times in Seattle between 1992-2003.
Washington's current three-game losing streak is its first since January of 2004, when it lost three straight to the same Pac-10 opponents as comprise the current streak - Stanford, UCLA and USC.
Sunday's game was also the third-straight in which Washington was outrebounded by at least 10 boards.
Dominique Banks' four assists equaled her season- and career-high.
Today's game was Washington's fourth in nine days, and sixth in the last 14.
UCLA is the fifth ranked opponent Washington has played in its last nine games. The Huskies are 2-4 against ranked opponents this year, with both wins coming at home.
