The 95-50 Washington win was the largest by either team in the 65-game series, shattering the previous record of 31 points set in a 105-74 Oregon win on Jan. 23, 1982. The Huskies' previous largest margin of victory over the Ducks was 22 points, in a 72-50 win on Feb. 11, 1978.
The Huskies' 95 points were also a series-high, and are the most scored by any Pac-10 team this season.
During Washington's current three-game winning streak vs. the Ducks, the Huskies have posted victory margins of 19, 16 and 45 points, for an average margin of victory of 26.6 points.
Maggie O'Hara left the game in the first half with what has been diagnosed as a high-ankle sprain. She will be re-evaluated Friday.
After Oregon jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, the Huskies responded with 14 consecutive points to spark a 24-5 run. During the run, which lasted nearly nine minutes,Washington held the Ducks to just 1 of 11 shooting, including a scoreless drought of five minutes, 40 seconds.
After seeing that run snapped by six quick Oregon points, the Huskies proceeded to mount another run of 23-3 to close the half, holding the Ducks without a field goal for 6:07, and to just one field goal in the final 7:50 of the half.
Freshman Breanne Watson finished with a career-high 22 points, nearly doubling her previous high of 12. Watson, who connected on nine of 12 shots, is the fourth UW player to score 20 points in a game this season, joining Giuliana Mendiola, Andrea Lalum and Cameo Hicks.
In the first half, Washington limited Oregon to just 13 rebounds, while forcing nearly as many turnovers (12).
Washington, which averages just 0.8 rebounds per game more than its opponents took a 27-13 rebounding advantage into the locker room at halftime, and finished with a 56-32 edge on the boards.
Senior Giuliana Mendiola tallied 15 points in the first half, more than her totals from either of the Huskies' previous two games. In losses to USC and UCLA last weekend, Mendiola totaled just 11 and 13 points, respectively. Mendiola finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season, and the 15th of her UW career.
Andrea Lalum hit two three-pointers to move into a tie with Tara Davis for seventh on the Huskies' all-time three-point field goals made list, with 115.
Two players, Jill Bell and Giuliana Mendiola, grabbed double-figure rebounds for the Huskies, an individual feat accomplished just four times all season entering tonight's game. Of the Huskies' six total double-figure rebound games, three have been recorded by Bell.
