Washington guard Giuliana Mendiola was named tournament MVP for the second time in the past three years, in the process becoming the first player to earn the MVP honor twice. Just a day after scoring 105 points in a win over Saint Bonventure, the Huskies poured in 88 against the Wildcats, a two-day total of 193 points that is the most in STHC history, breaking by five points the UW's own record of 188 set in 1997.
The UW scored at least 41 points in all four halves of play in the STHC, while holding opponents to 30 or less.
Washington also broke several other STHC records, including:
A day after Washington's bench led the team with 46 points, three Husky starters busted out for 57 of the team's 88 points, including 21 from Mendiola, and 18 each from Payne and Lalum.
