Washington coach June Daugherty
"You can't pinpoint the game on one or two plays. We came out strong in the second half and got right back in it. We kept coming at them. We had a chance to win the ballgame. One more rebound, one less foul ... "
"In the first half, (Amanda) Levens was the difference. We didn't get out on her. She played a fantastic first half. The bottom line is we did not produced from the frontline. Obviously, rebounding was the difference in the game.
"We have the weapons and the bench to get back in the game. We have to be a bit tougher and take care of the glass. Physically we have to do a better job against size like that."
Sophomore guard Giuliana Mendiola
"We came back but they made the big plays and got the rebounds. The made big plays down the stretch. If they missed the free throw, they got the rebound. (Amanda) Levens is a good player.
"The had good defensive pressure on us. They forced us to drive. We can't just rely on our outside shooting. We picked up our intensity in the second half but they made the plays when it counted."
Freshman guard Kristen O'Neill
"ASU is a really talented team. We played together and made a run. We just need to learn from our mistakes. They had good pressure defense on us. We were finding our offense in different places. We aren't just a three-point shooting team. We need to find our offense inside and out
