Megan Franza's 28 points were a season high. Her previous high was 23 at
Indiana in the first game of the season. Franza was 9-13 (.692), marking
the first time this season she has shot over .500.
Franza's 28 points was a Husky season high. The previous best was Kellie
O'Neill's 27 points versus Connnecticut Nov. 24.
UW's two-point winning differential was its slimmest this year. The previous
margin was a four point victory at Arizona State last week.
Andrea Lalum tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds, for her second double-double
of the season, and second in the last three games. Her 11 rebounds were
career-high (previous was 10 at Arizona last week).
Oregon State shot .482 from the field, the second best shooting percentage
by a UW opponent this season. Only Connecticut (.594) shot better than the
Beavers.
Loree Payne's 15 points mark the fourth time in the last five games that she
has scored in double digits, including a season high 21 points against USC.
When Giuliana Mendiola scored with 4:53 remaining in the game, it marked her
first basket of the week. Mendiola was 0-7 against Oregon on Thursday and
1-7 today.
OSU's Felicia Ragland, second in the Pac-10 in three point percentage (.475)
was held 0-2 from behind the arc today. With 12 points and 10 rebounds
Ragland recorded her fourth double-double of the season, and third in the
last four games. Ragland entered today second in the conference in scoring
with 17.9 points per game.
OSU's 34 rebounds tied for the second lowest total by a UW opponent this
season. Only UCLA (30) was lower. UW's 36 rebounds, likewise, were just
one more than their season low of 35, set versus UConn and at Arizona State.
Washington is now 10-0 when leading at the half.
Washington opened the second half up 35-30 before OSU went on a 27-12 run to
take a 57-47 lead with 11:51 remaining. After pulling within eight points
at 61-53 with 7:01 remaining, the Huskies ended the game on a 16-6 run,
including nine points by Megan Franza.
