- With the win, Washington improves to 10-3 overall, 3-0 in the Pac-10. The Huskies, playing their first road game since Dec. 3, improve to 4-1 away from home.
- Washington opens the Pac-10 season 3-0 for the first time since the 1998-99 season. The win sets up a showdown Saturday against No. 22 Arizona, which also improved to 3-0 (13-2 overall) to open Pac-10 play. That game will be played at 2 p.m. MST (1 p.m. PST) in Tucson.
- The win over ASU marked the first time the Washington senior class has won a game in the state of Arizona. The last time a Washington team won in Arizona was Feb. 1, 1997 in Tempe, when the Huskies defeated the Sun Devils, 81-73.
- Washington, which leads the Pac-10 in rebounding with a 46.4 average, got hammered on the boards early, trailing ASU, 24-18, at the half. The final margin was 40-35 in ASUs favor. It was only the third time this season UW has been outrebounded.
- The 24-24 halftime score marked the first time the Huskies had been tied with an opponent at the half.
- Washington's 24 points at halftime was a season low. The previous low was 26 points versus Colorado State (Dec. 29).
- Freshman Giuliana Mendiola, who had a team-high seven rebounds, led the Huskies in rebounding for the ninth time this season.
