UW Men's Tennis Edge's Oregon 4-3

SEATTLE, Wash. - - On a crisp spring day, the No. 22 ranked Washington men's tennis team defeated No. 67 ranked Oregon 4-3 in Bill Quillian Stadium. Washington's record now stands at 13-5 overall.
In the No. 1 spot, freshman Matt Hanlin pulled out his second win of the weekend, defeating Guillermo Carter in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Marius Lunde clinched the victory for the Huskies in an exciting match over Joaquin Hamdan, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2.
Hanlin went on to win his doubles match with his partner Mark Woolley. Hanlin and Woolley played strong and defeated Joaquin Hamdan and David Becker, 8-6. Woolley also won his singles match against Jason Menke, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
The Huskies are home again next weekend. They host Arizona State on Friday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m., and the University of Arizona on Saturday, April 8 at noon. Both matches will be played in Bill Quillian Stadium.
