1999-00(Junior): Played at the No. 1, 2, and 3 singles spots ... Posted a 19-17 overall singles record ... Strong in doubles play, he and teammate Berman defeated Maiberger/Pest of San Diego State University 8-6 in first round of NCAA tournament ... Finished season with an 11-7 overall doubles record ... .Advanced to the quarterfinals of ITA Regional Championships where he suffered only his second loss of the season to Peter Luczak of Fresno State 6-2, 6-4 ... Was second-team Pac-10 all-academic honoree.
1998-99 (Sophomore): Made a dramatic improvement over his freshman year, winning 47 matches a year ago after posting 17 his rookie campaign ... Finished second on the team in total wins ... Twenty-one of his 25 singles wins were in straight sets, and 15 came in dual-match play in the middle of the lineup ... Ranked as high as 74th in singles early in the season ...
