UW Men's Tennis Can't Handle USC

SEATTLE, Wash. - - The No. 28th ranked UW men's tennis team didn't have enough strength late in the match to get past No. 19th ranked USC today at the Nordstrom Tennis Center as USC won 4-3. USC improved its Pac-10 record to 4-2. The Huskies now have a Pac-10 record of 2-3 and an overall record of 14-7.
Senior Nick Quatrochi and junior Andy Posavac were the lone Husky winners in doubles action. They defeated Ryan Moore and Nick Rainey 8-4. This was Quatrochi's 68th doubles win in his career as a Husky, putting him in second place with all-time doubles wins in UW history.
Posavac went on to win his singles match against Moore, 6-3, 7-6. Junior Jeremy Berman defeated No. 63rd ranked Daniel Langre, 6-3, 6-3. Berman is now tied for 9th in all-time singles wins at UW with 64.
The Huskies host UCLA tomorrow starting at noon in the Nordstrom Tennis Center. This is the last home meet of the season.
