No. 31 Husky Men's Tennis Tops No. 37 Brigham Young, 5-2

CAPITOLA, Calif. - The Washington men's tennis team, ranked 31st in the nation, used wins from its two top-100 players to down No. 37 Brigham Young on Friday, 5-2. The Huskies, now 10-5, will face Clemson on Saturday at noon.
Freshman Matt Hanlin, ranked 93rd in the country, defeated Ger Zilms, 6-3, 7-5, at No. 1 singles. Classmate Ari Strasburg, tied for No. 86, stopped Damion Ward, 7-6, 6-3, in the second slot. Marius Lunde won in the fifth spot, downing David White, 6-1, 6-4, while Mark Woolley defeated Anton Rudjuk, 6-3, 6-4. Andy Posavac dropped the only three-setter of the match, falling 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 to Calo Larzono, and Jeremy Berman was downed by Nick Losee, 6-4, 6-4.
Washington won the doubles point with wins in the second and third spots. Berman-Strasberg defeate Losee-Larzona, 8-6. Hanlin-Woolley edged White-Oleson, 9-8. Posavac-Quatrochi fell in the No. 1 spot, 8-4 to Zilms-Ward.
