COACHES' GUIDE
College and university coaches, athletic staff and team boosters are tightly constrained in their activities surrounding the recruiting of athletes. They are governed by the rules and regulations of the National Collegian Athletic Association (NCAA) as set forth in a number of publications known as recruiting guides.
For women's volleyball at the University of Washington and other Division I schools, the governing publication is the Division I Coaches Recruiting Guide (Sports Other Than Football and Basketball). Generally the guide title begins with the coverage year(s).
This publication is intended to serve as a self-help guide for coaches in the field. The information in the guide is actually an edited and abridged version of the much more extensive set of NCAA recruiting rules.
It is important that student athletes and their parents have knowledge of the rules for recruiting.
