Colton Bower kept the momentum moving for the Huskies in the second inning, drilling a home run to deep left field to put Washington up 4-1. His towering shot went 379 feet and was launched 103 miles per hour off the bat.
Jackson Thomas held the Bulldogs at bay through four innings, ultimately conceding two runs throughout his outing. The senior finished with 4.0 innings pitched, six hits, two runs, two walks, and two strikeouts.
Carson Boesel took over for the fifth and sixth, but the Bulldogs were able to tie the game up.
In the seventh inning, Blake Wilson worked a bases-loaded walk to put the Huskies in the lead again at 5-4, but Gonzaga would plate four runs off Bryce Johnson in the eighth to take the win.
