April 06, 2026 | Women's Golf
NAPA, Calif. – Washington teed off the Chevron Silverado Showdown this morning, opening the tournament tied for 13th out of 16 teams with a score of 305.
Carmen Lim navigated the course to place tied for 14th. Her ninth hole featured an eagle, leading to an even par round.
Amber Li checked in next for UW with a three-over par day, landing tied for 43rd, while Athena Ni turned in a six-over to sit tied for 70th.
Wendy Tang added a score of 80, placing tied for 82nd, and Mads Smith followed with a score of 81 to round out the Husky lineup in a tie for 85th.
"Today was a bit of a rough round," said head coach Anna Temple. "Consistency in how we show up every day is important and unfortunately our outcome didn't match our process. Tomorrow is a new day and we look to take advantage of making progress and competing in the opportunity that lays before us."
The Huskies will look to regroup tomorrow, teeing off at 9:42 a.m. for the second round at Silverado Country Club and Resort.
