September 24, 2026 | Women's Golf
SEATTLE – After a successful first two weeks on the course for the Huskies, Hannah Ounap has been named the Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Thursday.
In just her second tournament as a Dawg, Ounap led Washington to a second-place team finish in Fort Collins at the Ben Connell Ram Classic. Ounap tied for a second-place individual finish at the tournament as well, shooting 210 (-6) with a pair of under-par rounds and one even showing.
Ounap is off to a solid start for UW, as she kicked off her very first tournament in the purple and gold with a 23rd place finish at the Leadership & Golf Invitational at Chambers Bay just a week prior. She recorded an even par round and her first collegiate under-par performance in the third and final round of the home tournament.
Ounap and the Huskies look to build on the momentum in Scotland, where they will compete at St. Andrews in the St. Andrews Links Collegiate.
