
Huskies Wrap ASU Invitational With Eighth Place Finish

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Washington brought its time at the ASU Invitational to a close today, finishing eighth with a 54-hole total of 878 after posting a 295 in the final round at Papago Golf Club.
Carmen Lim led the Huskies, closing with a two-over round to finish the tournament at even par and tied for 18th overall. Amber Li followed, carding a three-over round to finish tied for 31st at four-over for the tournament.
Athena Ni turned in an even-par performance on the final day, finishing tied for 42nd overall with a three-round score of 222. Mads Smith added a two-over round to place tied for 48th at eight-over, while Wendy Tang posted a six-over round to finish tied for 62nd at +12.
Competing as an individual, Claudia Alnajim recorded a seven-over round to finish tied for 67th overall at +15.
"There are a lot of good takeaways from this week," said head coach Anna Temple. "We were able to put together some consistent scores which led to consistent team scores. It was nice to see everyone have some solid stretches and there's a lot we can build off of."
After wrapping up the last regular season tournament, Washington now turns its attention to the Silverado Showdown in Napa, California starting April 6.
