Braeden Terry Two-Run Homer Walks Off Series Sweep Of Purdue

SEATTLE โ The Huskies completed their first sweep of the season and first Big Ten sweep in program history on Sunday with a 5-3 walk-off win over Purdue at Husky Ballpark. Braeden Terry was the home run hero, launching the ball 393 feet to right field to claim the third win of the weekend for Washington.

The Huskies improve to 16-17 on the season and 8-4 in Big Ten play while Purdue drops to 20-11 and 3-9 in conference games.

Terry's home run was his second in as many days after tagging a two-run shot in Saturday's game. He now has three homers on the season.

Justin Tims made his sixth start of the season on Sunday, putting together one of his best performances to date. The freshman logged a career-high 6.0 innings pitched and eight strikeouts with zero walks.

Reilly McAdams earned the win, closing out the final three frames of the game. He allowed one hit and one run while striking out two batters.

The Boilermakers scored first, plating runs in the fourth and sixth innings to take a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the sixth, Braeden Terry hit a double to right center and came home off an RBI single from Blake Wilson to put the Dawgs on the board.

In the seventh inning, Terry earned a bases-loaded walk to collect another RBI and tie the game before a balk by the Purdue pitcher put the Huskies up, 3-2.

The eighth inning saw Purdue tie the game again, 3-3 and set the stage for the dramatic finish in the bottom of the ninth.

With the win, Washington improves to 8-4 in the Big Ten, fourth in the overall standings. The Dawgs trail only Iowa (12-2), No. 14 UCLA (10-2), and No. 15 Oregon (10-4).
