Four Huskies Set To Compete In NCAA Second Round Friday

SEATTLE – Four Washington gymnasts will compete in the second round of the NCAA championships on Friday, April 4, at 1 p.m. PT at Alaska Airlines Arena. Doors open at noon. The first 50 students with a valid student ID can pick up a free session pass at the box office.
The meet will be streamed on ESPN+, with live scoring available here. Tickets can be purchased here.
Chelsea Hallinan qualified on beam, Taylor Russon will compete on bars and beam, Emily Innes will compete on beam and floor, and Mary McDonough will compete in the all-around.
Hallinan has been a consistent performer on beam, appearing in every lineup this season. She tied her career high of 9.900 against Utah. Graduate student Russon has been a leader for the GymDawgs, competing in every bars, beam and floor lineup. She set a career-high 9.925 on bars against UCLA and a 9.950 on beam against Maryland. Innes tied her career-high 9.900 on beam against Maryland and has posted three 9.925 scores on floor this season. McDonough recorded a career-high all-around score of 39.450 at the Has Quad Meet and set personal bests on bars, beam and floor this season.
The Huskies will compete as individuals, rotating with other teams in the session. Friday's first session competition features Georgia, Arizona, Arizona State and Missouri, as well as individuals from Illinois State. The top two teams will advance to the regional final on Sunday, April 6, at 5 p.m. Pacific. Individual qualifiers will be determined after the final session.
