
Washington To Host Seattle Pride Meet Vs. No. 36 Rutgers

SEATTLE โ The Washington gymnastics team returns home on Friday, Jan. 23, to face No. 36 Rutgers at 6:30 p.m. PT inside Alaska Airlines Arena for the Pride Meet.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as doors will open with giveaways for the first 250 attendees. Available items include long-sleeve t-shirts and Pride hand fans. This event will also mark the GymDawgs' debut of their new Seattle Pride leotard.ย Be there to see it unveiled for the first time!

Washington is coming off its second road meet of the season, falling to No. 22 Maryland, 194.625โ193.575. The GymDawgs recorded one event winner, as Deiah Moody claimed the bars title with a season-high 9.850. Washington also earned a beam co-championship, with Chelsea Hallinan scoring a 9.875.
In addition to the event and co-champ winners, Olivia Oppegard posted a season-high 9.825 on bars. Caitlin McWilliams recorded a season-high 9.725 on vault, while Kira Bolden and Jessica Schaffer led the beam rotation with scores of 9.800. Bolden matched her season-high, while Schaffer earned a career-high.
McWilliams matched her season-high on floor with a 9.825, while Mary McDonough and Hallinan each recorded season-highs of 9.650. The meet marked Hallinan's second appearance in the floor lineup this season.
Following the Maryland meet, Washington's beam squad ranks No. 18 nationally on Road to Nationals. Individually, Hallinan ranks No. 20 nationally and No. 5 in the Big Ten on beam.

Rutgers enters the meet following a 195.750-194.100 loss to Ohio State in its Big Ten opener. The Scarlet Knights claimed one event win, with Adrian posting a 9.850 on bars.
