Washington Gymnastics Prepares for Road Meet at No. 5 UCLA

SEATTLE βΒ The Washington gymnastics team will travel to Los Angeles, Calif., to face No. 5 UCLA on Friday, Jan. 30, at 7:30 p.m. PT.

The Huskies are coming off a home victory over No. 36 Rutgers last Friday, posting a score of 195.225β193.600. Washington recorded two individual event wins and three co-championships.
Lilly Tubbs earned a season high 9.900 to claim the beam event title. Kristin Lin recorded a career high 9.900 on floor to secure the event win. The GymDawgs also posted a three-way tie for the beam title, with co-champions Tubbs, Lin, and Chelsea Hallinan, each scoring a 9.875.
In addition to the event and co-champion winners, Kira Bolden and Mary McDonough each earned a 9.825 on vault, matching Bolden's career-high and McDonough's season-high. Lin added a 9.725 on vault, also matching her season best.
On bars, Deiah MoodyΒ scored a 9.825 to place second overall. Lin earned a 9.725, making this her season-high.Β
Washington then moved on to beam, where Tubbs matched her career-high, while Lin set a new career best.
The Huskies closed the meet with their strongest event of the night on floor, scoring a 49.275. Jessica Schaffer recorded a career-high 9.875 to place second overall. Hallinan, competing in the floor lineup for just the third time this season, earned a career-high 9.825. McDonough added a season-high of 9.825, while Caitlin McWilliams posted a season-high of 9.850.

Lin capped off the night with a career-high 39.225 in the all-around.
Following the Rutgers meet, Hallinan ranked No. 18 nationally and No. 4 in the Big Ten on beam.
