
Huskies Bounce Back With Shutout Win Over Pacific Lutheran

SEATTLE – The Huskies snapped their four-game skid with a shutout win on Wednesday, defeating Pacific Lutheran 12-0 in seven innings.
Washington improves to 9-13 on the season while the Lutes drop to 6-7.
The Husky pitchers were lights out on Wednesday as Charlie Denomme and Will Woodward combined for the shutout. The pair allowed just two hits, one each, while striking out ten.
Woodward pitched a career-high four innings and fanned seven of the 13 batters he faced.
The Huskies scored 12 runs on seven hits, capitalizing on walks and errors by Pacific Lutheran. Washington earned six walks and one HBP in addition to its seven knocks.
Blake Wilson and Braeden Terry led the Husky offense, each tallying two hits. Wilson added two RBIs thanks to a bases-loaded double in the bottom of the sixth.
Colin Blanchard led the team in RBIs with three while Matthew Henning extended his on base streak to three games with two walks in the contest.
The Huskies return to action on Friday, hosting Maryland in a three-game series this weekend.
