KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches has announced its All-Region selections for the 2025 season, with five Washington Huskies earning All-North Region honors.
First Team All-Big Ten selections Alex Buck and Kolo Suliafu also reeled in First Team All-North Region laurels, while Jadyn Holdenried and Maya Loudd were both tabbed to the Third Team. Meanwhile, Kelsey Branson pulled down Fourth Team honors to cap her prolific Husky career.
Washington's five all-region honorees are a new program record, topping the four all-region selections in 2000 when Hope Solo, Andrea Morelli, Theresa Wagner and Caroline Putz all received the distinction.
After being held scoreless during the non-conference slate, Buck took off from the start of Big Ten play and never looked back. The sophomore striker scored nine times from the start of league play, tied for the most in the Big Ten. Buck finished the season tied for third in the Big Ten in points (23) and tied for third in goals (9).
Suliafu, who finished her vaunted Husky career as the Big Ten Defender of the Year, earns her second consecutive All-North Region nod after earning a spot on the Third Team in 2024. Of the 34 total clean sheets contributed to during the SoCal centerback's Husky career, 11 came during UW's historic 2025 campaign.
After starting just two matches in 2024, Holdenried surged during her junior season in Purple and Gold, ranking second on the team with seven goals, matching Buck for the team lead with five assists to sit at 19 total points in 2025. The Windsor, California, native saved her scoring for the biggest moment, tying Buck for the Big Ten lead with five game-winning goals.
On the opposite side of the pitch, Loudd locked down opposing forwards all season long on the left flank. The junior outside back started 23 matches for UW in 2025, helping the Huskies post 12 clean sheets while also chipping in a pair of assists on the offensive end.
Rounding out UW's honorees, Branson served as the connective tissue between the defense and offense in the middle of the park. Making 72 consecutive starts to bookend her freshman and senior seasons, the San Diego native posted five goals and three assists to account for 13 points in her final season in a Husky kit.
